Sixteen pupils in Première LLCE got involved in the SOS project « Shakespeare on Stage » , the English drama festival which was held at Le Molière in Mont de Marsan last June. They put up an original play written by their teacher‒ with Shakespeare’s help every now and then. Multi-tasking was at the chore of this unique experience : directing, designing and making the costumes and settings, choosing the soundtrack and making live sound effects, acting of course, and even dancing !

They are at it again and new artists have joined the small acting company. This year’s project is based on a short story written by a pupil from Louis Barthou, who’d rather remain anonymous. So let’s respect his privacy... Anyway, it’s been amended and turned into a play for next June. A writing workshop was held for that purpose every Friday afternoon from October to January. The rehearsals are about to begin.
16 élèves de Première LLCE ont participé à SOS, « Shakespeare On Stage », le festival de théâtre en anglais qui s’est tenu au Molière à Mont de Marsan en Juin dernier. Ils ont monté une pièce originale écrite par leur professeur, avec l’aide de Shakespeare ici et là. Cette expérience unique leur a permis de développer de multiples talents : mise en scène, conception et réalisation des costumes, décors et bruitages, interprétation bien sûr et même danse !
Et ils remettent ça, avec de nouveaux artistes. Cette année le projet sera monté à partir d’une nouvelle écrite par un élève du lycée, qui préfère rester anonyme. Alors, on respecte son choix...Quoi qu’il en soit, un atelier d’écriture s’est tenu tous les vendredi après-midi d’Octobre à Janvier et elle a été modifiée et adaptée pour être jouée. Les répétitions débutent après les épreuves de spécialité.
